One of the many things I HATE in Second Life. Child avatars.. You don’t know how tempted I was to grief the hell out of them. 

OH you had us right up ‘til there, mate.  We at RAoG agree that there are things that certain avatars do that can be annoying as fuck: typing in bad baby talk, for example, or over gesture-ing.  That drives us right up a fucking wall.  Never mind shitty RPing (an eight year old with a pacifier?  REALLY?!).

But condemning an entire group of avatars over the behavior you’ve personally seen, and even going so far as to use the word “hate”, is more worthy of being called out than having a child avatar any day, in our book.

Some of the most innovative, creative, and clever avatars we’ve had the pleasure of meeting— never mind some of the most articulate— include Loki Eliot and Marianne McCann, both child avatars.  The former has an entire sim devoted to nostalgia and youthful adventure based on The Goonies, Treasure Island, and Peter Pan.  The latter has helped to make the city in which she lives come alive with a 50s feel a la Pleasantville or Leave it to Beaver.  Then there’s Murdock Pennell, who has made the Free Script Library a must-visit for anyone in SL.  We’ve got Koffeekid Smalls, producer of the weekly podcast “Milk n Kookies” along with Yuki Eliot and Sage Kostenbaum.  We could continue this list, but we think you got the idea.

Hate on a behavior if you must.  But hating on, and wanting to “grief the hell out of” a whole group makes you an asshole.  At least you resisted the temptation so we can’t yet call you a bully too.
